Foundation Research: Who Gives and Who Gets in the Washington Region

On Monday, December 11, 2006, Katherine Jankowski, Research Director, Jankowski Associates, Inc., gave a presentation on foundation research. In this presentation, she provided information from the newly released Washington Grantmakers report - Our Region, Our Giving: A Report on Philanthropy in the Washington Region, 2006. She also reviewed how to research grantmaking foundations with GrantsDirect.com, a database that includes detailed profiles of more than 1,700 grantmakers headquartered in Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia, and more than 125,000 of their grant recipients. OPGD's Grants Information Resource Center offers access to GrantsDirect.com.
