Register Now for Sixth Annual Public-Private Partnership Conference
The Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grants Development (OPGD), in conjunction with the Washington Council of Agencies (WCA), announces its Sixth Annual Pubic-Private Partnership Conference. This year's theme is "Embracing, Strengthening, and Sustaining Partnerships: The Reality of It All."
The conference will be held on Monday, December 13, 2004, 8 am to 4 pm, at the new Washington Convention Center. Workshops will include:
- Fear Factor: Preparing the New WRAG Common Grant Application
- Go Directly to Jail: Don’t Play Games with Grant Money
- He Said, She Said: Establishing Partnership Roles Through a Memorandum of Understanding and Other Documents
- Top 10 Tips for Running Successful Nonprofit Organizations
- The Weakest Link: What You Always Wanted to Know About Indirect Cost Rates But Were Afraid to Ask; and more.
There will be opportunities to network with representatives from local DC, Maryland, and Virginia governments, as well as the federal government, local foundations, and nonprofit and faith-based organizations. In addition, an extensive exhibit hall will have information on the latest technology and capacity-building opportunities for conferees.
