Nonprofit Fundraisers Invited to Learn How to Earn Online

October 2, 2006

The Mayor’s Office of Partnerships and Grants Development (OPGD) and TouchDC.org will host a special training session on how nonprofits can harness the power of the Internet to raise more money.

TouchDC.org is a web-based initiative of Washington Grantmakers that was started in 2002. Some of the main goals of this initiative are to help local nonprofits to effectively use online philanthropy tools and resources and to connect donors and volunteers to a wide range of nonprofit organizations that are doing great work in the community.

This event will help to prepare nonprofits to accept online financial donations, as well as volunteers, just in time for the critical philanthropic giving time of the holiday season.

The session will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, 9:30 am to 12 pm at One Judiciary Square, 441 4th Street, NW, Suite 1107 North. For further information, contact OPGD at (202) 727-8900.

Registration is also available online.
