OPGS is part of the Executive Office of the Mayor in the Government of the District of Columbia. OPGS' mission is to advance the District’s strategic plan and improve the quality of life for residents of our nation’s capital by facilitating multi-sector partnerships, and pursuing private and public financial and technical support. Our core services are as follows:

-
Provide technical assistance and training to strengthen the organizational capacity and leadership skills of local community, faith-based, and nonprofit organizations;
-
Administer the District’s Rules of Conduct Governing Donations to the District Government;
-
Facilitate partnerships between public and private, for-profit and nonprofit organizations that can support the District’s strategic plan and Mayor’s policy priorities; and
-
Serve as the District government’s sub-grants clearinghouse and State Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
OPGS' website provides easy access to comprehensive and timely information about our services such as: the Grants Information Resource Center (GIRC) that assists our customers who either lack computer access or knowledge to perform online searches for grants; the weekly Funding Alert that provides real time information on local, federal, and foundation grant opportunities and related technical resource announcements; and OPGS' Annual Report and Quarterly Donation Reports.
