Expand Globally in Partnerships with the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA)

On September 15, 2008 the Governors’ Offices of Maryland and Virginia, and Mayor’s Office of the Government of the District of Columbia co-hosted an international business conference at the World Bank, “Expand Globally in Partnerships with the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA)". The conference provided an opportunity for District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia companies to learn about USTDA’s grant programs and EX-IM Bank financial resources used to advance the trade and development goals of countries around the world. The participants became aware of the trade and development opportunities in countries – including Liberia, Mexico, Morocco, Philippines, and Romania – from each geographic region in the global economy. We have also invited representatives from the following international financial institutions – including the  Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), USTDA, and the World Bank – to discuss potential procurement opportunities that our businesses may explore.
